Alignlee is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This means you are free to:

- Commercial Use: Use the Service for commercial purposes without restrictions
- No Additional Restrictions: You may not apply legal terms that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits

3.1 You May:

- Create unlimited rooms and invite unlimited participants
- Request custom deployment options for enterprise needs
- Modify and adapt the Service for your needs

- Abuse: Attempt to disrupt, damage, or overload the Service
- Illegal Activity: Use the Service for illegal purposes or to violate others' rights
- Automated Attacks: Launch DDoS attacks, spam, or automated abuse
- Unauthorized Access: Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data you're not authorized to access
4. Service Availability
4.1 "As-Is" Basis:
The Service is provided free of charge on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We strive for high uptime but make no guarantees about availability, reliability, or performance.

5. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- Room data is ephemeral and automatically deleted
- We collect minimal personal information
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
- All data transmission is encrypted via TLS
6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to content you create in Alignlee (room names, participant names, voting data). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host and transmit this content to deliver the Service.
6.2 Our Content:
The Alignlee service is licensed under Creative Commons (see Section 2). The Alignlee name and logo are trademarks and require permission for commercial use.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We don't warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Results from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
- Defects will be corrected
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALIGNLEE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Because the Service is free, our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed $100 USD.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Alignlee harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of others.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for users who violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or engage in illegal activity. Because most features require no account, "termination" typically means blocking IP addresses or room codes.
11. Governing Law & Disputes

The Service may be subject to export control laws. You may not use the Service in violation of U.S. export laws or regulations.
13. Government Use
If you're a U.S. government entity, the Service is provided as "Commercial Computer Software" under FAR 12.212 and DFARS 227.7202. Rights are as specified in these Terms.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alignlee regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced on our website with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
