Alignlee vs planningpoker.live
Comparison as of October 2026, based on planningpoker.live's public website. Plans and features change; check planningpoker.live before you decide.
planningpoker.live is the most feature-rich tool in this set of comparisons: Jira and Linear sync, embedded apps for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex, Slack commands, custom decks, timers, async and anonymous voting, password-protected rooms and an AI meeting summary. Joining and voting are free, but creating a room uses a credit. Alignlee has far fewer features and no integrations, but every room is free.
If you want estimation inside your video call and points pushed to Jira or Linear, planningpoker.live is the better tool. If you want a free room with spectators and confidence voting and you're happy to type points into your tracker yourself, Alignlee is enough.

What planningpoker.live does better
Integrations
Story points sync to Jira and Linear, and the tool runs as an embedded app in the major video-call platforms. Alignlee has no integrations at all.
Flexibility
Custom decks, timers, password-protected rooms, room templates, anonymous voting and async voting. Alignlee has three fixed decks and live, named voting only.
Open source
Its code is published on GitHub. Alignlee's isn't.
What credits cost a typical team
Credits are spent when a room is created, not per participant. Assume one room per planning session. A team planning every two weeks creates about 26 rooms a year. The free monthly credit covers 12 of those (after the 5 starter credits run out or expire), leaving roughly 14 to buy: one 15-credit bundle at $17 covers it. A team planning weekly needs about 52 rooms a year; after 12 free credits, a 50-credit bundle at $50 covers the rest. Those are modest amounts, but someone has to own the credits.
Alignlee rooms are free and unlimited, so there is nothing to track.
AI summaries vs a Markdown file
planningpoker.live's PokerBot writes a summary of the events, votes and highlights of your meeting. Alignlee doesn't call any AI service. Instead, it exports the meeting minutes as a .md file; if you want a summary, paste that file into an assistant such as Claude yourself. Some teams prefer that because nothing is sent to a model unless they choose to.
What you get with Alignlee
Alignlee is free planning poker with no accounts and no participant cap. Votes stay hidden until half the voters are in, then reveal automatically with names. Every vote has a confidence slider, and the result is a confidence-weighted estimate. Spectators can watch without voting. Rooms last 24 hours, and you can export meeting minutes as Markdown. It does not integrate with Jira or Slack and has no custom decks. The full feature list is in our planning poker guide.

- Whether the free monthly credit includes ads.
